Washington State's Hazard Communication (GHS) Rule, Chapter 296-901, WAC
became effective on April 15, 2013. The state adopted the new hazard
communication rules from federal OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard.
Employees in Washington must be trained on the safety data sheet (SDS)
format and new label elements by June 1, 2014.
Back by popular demand- we are offering another opportunity to prepare for the
new hazard communication rule, called the Globally Harmonized System of
Classification and Labeling of Chemicals.
